Uncle Kevin From a young age I have fond memories of my family spending holidays together at Kevin and Maree's home in Heathcote. Playing with his beloved Labradors, playing in the parks across the road to climbing on Kevin's shed roof with Kevin trying to coach me down off his roof. Back in 2006 when I lost my father, Kevin was there for me. We had many long conversations covering numerous topics which was exactly what I needed in this hard time of my life. Over the last couple of years, I had the chance to spend quite a few weekends with Kevin sharing many stories and having long chats which I will always cherish. Kevin was very steadfast in his beliefs, wise, hardworking and has left a void in me which I will never be able to fill. Love always your nephew Peter Stockton.

I remember a funny moment! At a family function on the property we all of a sudden saw Kevin running down the field with a rake in his hand and shouting at the fighting alpacas !!!

Fred Robson remembers Kevin in the post war years and into the 50s where a common interest was shared in electrical gadgetry. Particularly we compared notes on radio crystal sets. Kevin being older, knew a few things about the topic and shared his knowledge. But do you know something? I still have my crystal radio set and it works! However, more importantly as a young boy I found Kevin was always calm which was a good influence on a young mind. We have cherished memories and condolences go out to the family from Fred and Florence.

Kevin was three years older than me. Our birthdays were on the same day, the 8 July. I am thankful to have shared 80 birthdays with my brother. As a child, Kevin was my friend and protector. He was always there for me. He meant the world to me. Kevin was my best friend and I will miss him very much. Kevin and Maree were always there for my family and were interested in what was happening in all our lives. Each week, Kevin and I enjoyed long chats together on the phone, something I always looked forward to. Kevin was a loving, caring and supportive brother. He loved his family very much and spoke about them with pride. He told me recently that Maree was the best wife in the world and how blessed and grateful he was to have her as his wife. I will treasure his last precious words to me when he said, "I love you." Gwenda Stockton
