Family gatherings won't be the same without Beresford's story telling which always had us in stitches and tears of laughter. Even if we'd heard a story many times over, we'd ask for it again, laughing in anticipation when we knew the funniest thing was coming up. He was one of a kind, a gentleman and kind to the core. We'll miss you sorely my friend.

Hello Liz and family, Wendy and I send our deepest condolences to you. Bill was my Inspector at 503 Station on ‘B’ platoon. A terrific boss. We continued our friendship away from the brigade as our sons played hockey in the Shoalhaven, albeit on opposing teams. That’s where we met you, Liz. I have many fond and funny memories of Bill and will enjoy remembering them as I drink a toast to him. Unfortunately we can’t make the Friday gathering but our thoughts will certainly be with you. We spent many great times with Billy, lots of laughs, and many an Australia Day together. I was so sad to hear of Billy’s passing. My thoughts and with Liz, David, Jodie and all the family.
Destined to have met Beresford on holiday in Spain not once but twice. Forever treasure those memories and his visit (with Liz off course) to stay at our home in Northern Ireland for a month. Sending hugs and sympathy to Liz and the family circle from all the McIlroy family. Treasured memories of fun times.

To you Liz and family both Lid and I were deeply saddened by Bill's passing. Always a bloke to have a good laugh with and a serious yarn with, while having a beer at the same time. He always made you feel welcome. You will be sadly missed ole mate.

Billy Mason was an absolute top human. He was kind, gentle, funny and loved life and his family. Thinking of Liz and all his family in this sad time. Big hugs, Judy Hunt

Wonderful cousin who i never met in person , but was able to tell me great stories about my father who I never met. God bless you Beresford and rest in peace till we meet again in Heaven
