Grant and Kathryn, Benny, Jessie, and Matthew would like to say thank you for the opportunity to be present via the live stream. "Grandpa Alex" has been so kind in welcoming us into the Irvine extended family, which has greatly enriched our lives. His faith, example, wisdom and humour stand out in our memories of being together. Separated for a time, until Jesus comes again.

Dear Patricia and family. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Alex, but rejoice knowing that he is now in a far better place. He was a great mentor to us both when we joined the Gideon ministry almost 30 years ago and gave us a strong grounding in the ministry. He was a man of great faith who worked tirelessly for the Kingdom and leaves a legacy that will endure for a long time to come. Our sincere condolences and may God bring you His comfort at the difficult time. Phil & Jennell Hawley

Dear Pat and family, please accept our deepest sympathies for the passing of Alex. You have both been such a bedrock of faith and Christian witness, encouragement and friendship to many within the local community and it was Alex's kind and welcoming face (the face of Christ) that we shall remember with fondness. Be assured of our prayers for you all at this time ... a time of both grief yes, but also of joy given just how much Alex loved Christ and the people of God across all faiths. May God's very gift of peace be with you all. Yours very sincerely, Steve and Michelle Sims, Wondalga Cr. NOWRA
