My Condolences to Colleen, Sharyn, Amanda and extended family. Macca was a great man and mentor to everyone who surround him. His dedication to his family and profession was always admired. Unfortunately I won't be attending this funeral but will be watching online. I'm sure there's going to be a big attendance for this great man's send off. Happy onward journey Macca. With love and respect Ernie and the Ferrington 5

My big brother Robert, my elder by two years. I remember our childhood as normal, happy and free for rural 1950’s Australia. We both attended the local school St Bede’s, but I do recall it wasn’t easy for Robert. Sister Carmel definitely gave him a hard time, but expect the feeling was mutual. Robert moved into secondary school at St Patrick’s in Golbourne with an early 0700 start and late return. After school he went on to be an apprentice carpenter in Braidwood and I have a fond memory of him driving around, radio blaring, in particular ‘Little Arrows’ by Leapy Lea. Of course in life we all take our own paths as when I left Braidwood in 1969, but always kept in touch. One memorable time was the day I spent with Robert in the local hospital waiting room waiting for the birth of Amanda. His girls were so very important to him. We have lots of happy memories of Robert, I’m there in spirit with your family to celebrate your life. Rest in peace. Your sister Colleen

My beautiful Uncle Robert. You sir were a treasure. Your bluntness, but caring personality were infectious. I will miss your cheeky laugh and your cheeky smile. You reminded me always of Grandpa, and I hope you have found my dad and your own dad and are all having a beer together. May you be at peace. Live always, Clarissa xo
