Dear Jenny, Sandra, Greg and your beautiful families. The Philpott family is saddened by the loss of Margaret King or our “Aunty June” and offers sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all. Please know that we are thinking of you with warmth and deep sympathy as you farewell your gracious, loving and courageous mother and grandmother.
Aunty June was a much loved and respected member of our extended family for many years. Though the later years have drifted us all apart, we hold dear the memories. We had all laughed together, shared many tall tales with June and Walter (our Uncle Jimmy) and gathered in the warmth of her caring hospitality: with meatballs, rum balls and the very best carrot cake ever! She made a delightful afternoon tea with English styled sandwiches and always encouraged everyone to take part. She was generous and kind to us all.
We understand that the funeral is intimate and look forward to inviting all or any of you to lunch down south early this spring. Much love. Rest in Peace at last Aunty June.
