My heartfelt condolences to the Miller family. Gus was the best, a true hero. I first met Gussy back in '58 when we lived in Far Meadow. I'll never forget his warm smile and how kind he was. Gussy used to let us ride his horses, and I was so proud to lead his prize bull at the Berry Agriculture Show. I moved back to Berry in 2018, and it was great to see Gussy at the Berry Show Ground again.

Gus' dad, and my father Bruce, were first cousins. But my father only 8 years older than Gus. Perhaps Dad met Gus, when he (Dad) was a young teenager around 1930. Dad would come to Gerringong and Berry to stay with relatives. My wife and I certainly had the honour of meeting him about 2021. Sharp as a tack, going on 96. Many stories about his family. A legend here, and now a young man with The Lord Jesus.
