Condolences to family and friends. Yogi's service was a reminder of some but not all of Yogi's exploit's, time would not allow them all be re-told! Bear was an individual, but I'm proudl to be able to call him a friend and a shipmate. One a MOBI always a MOBI.

My condolences to Yogies family,I cannot be there in person but my thoughts are with you.I was privileged to serve with yogi on the HS748 flight,and shared many adventures with him,cyclone Tracey comes to mind,when two hung over senior sailors were called into work on a boxing day to strip and load an aircraft with emergency supplies for Darwin,one of the first into Darwin with aid.I was proud to be with yogi on that day.fair winds and a following sea my friend,your mate scruffy

Hi Graham, I'm Yogi's eldest grand daughter, Chey-anne. Hearing this story is incredible as i never knew pop helped in Cyclone Tracey, we recently just had Cyclone Fina (Cat 3) up here in the territory and as he said "Batten down the hatches and hope is does not". Thank you for sharing this story, currently sharing it with his great grandchildren and they are amazed.

Dear Scruffy, When we met at a function a few years ago, you put your arm around Yogi's shoulder, turned to me and said: 'He didnt tell you we were married did he?' There was much laughter all around. But in a way, I think that was very true. I think that my Yogi was joined at the heart to all of his Navy friends and it was a bond that can never be broken. You meant the world to Yogi, thank you for being his true friend. Eva xox
