I was saddened to hear of the passing of my cousin.
Although life carried us in different directions and we have not seen each other for many decades, I often find myself returning to a photograph of us as children. In it, we are simply young cousins—unaware of time, distance, or how life would unfold—sharing a brief moment of family and childhood innocence.
That image has remained a quiet reminder that, even when years and miles separate us, there are bonds that once existed and mattered deeply.
I wish we had had the chance to reconnect later in life, but I will hold onto that early memory and the place you once had in our family story.
