Alex,
You were the greatest gift that ever came my way.
I can’t find the words to express the loss - they’d be empty and hollow, like how our hearts have felt these past weeks.
I won’t be dwelling on the pain of your Passing, - grief is the price we pay for our love and we are all hurting.
instead I’ll think about the joy that came from being with you, the fun we shared, the adventures, the costumes, the days out
I’ll think about how Proud I was of you.
Being able to watch you grow into a man and a Father, without ever losing that inner child sparkle in your eyes or that you could never hide.
I love you mate.
Don’t rest in peace like the others - too much work to be done.
Spread your new wings wide, and fly high.
Having you as a Son was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me, and I will always be eternally grateful that you chose me as your Dad.
