I’ve known Clive since I started school in 1959 at Penshurst Infants School. He may had started school a year before as he was a year older than I was. We used to meet up at recess and lunch breaks at school playing around like silly buggers. When my parents, sister and I moved to our new home in Caringbah, where Clive had lived with his parents and siblings, we used to travel together by trains to and from school. He was a real larrikin sort of guy who used to make or talk about jokes that we used to laugh about the jokes. After we left school, I used to invite him and other ex-school friends to my place for dinner or drinks to catch up with news and making jokes. I bumped to Clive in Wollongong about 30 years ago when he told me that he is living in his new home in Berkeley close to the northern shore of Lake Illawarra. I soon visited his place where he was busying sand papering timber works for painting and renovating. My condolences to his family on the passing of Clive. Phillip Keane.
