My big sister Bett was not only a loving sister but a mother to me as well
She was with me through the good times and not so good
I have many wonderful childhood memories I will never forget ,Bett was also a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews

My godmother and beloved aunt . She was sooo special, I remember her laughter, her love of her mum, her adventurous spirit in travel.she was the big sister to dad,( Denis) John and William, (Bill). Dad worried about her last years, her arthritis, but always so cheerful.
Every trip back to Australia Ed & I visited her. Every time we left we thought is this the last time I will see her. Finally it was the last time.
Her sense of humour, who remembers her “ chicken dance “ at brother Peters first marriage. Oh we laughed and joined in.
You will be so missed Aunty Betty

When I was growing up, one of the things I looked forward to doing was going to Bet and Doug's place to visit. To me, then Bet was always an Aunty and I always thought she was an actual Aunty.
Then when I had my own family, Bet and Doug would always be invited to a family gathering and even now my own children would still refer to Bet as Aunty.
A great lady, much missed and I will always call on fond memories of Aunty Betty.
