My big brother Richard always had a cheeky smile and he was a relentless teaser. He was a real neat freak, which is something we had in common. Beneath all the teasing I know he loved me and was so proud of me. I love you brother and you will always be in my heart.

Richard we went to school together. My memory from those early days is that you were always a person with an enquiring mind and determine to succeed. At times that adventurous streak got you into hot water yet you always bounced back with a cheeky smile.
Despite the setback and with the assistance, support of love of those close to you, you inspired so many in the way you coped with illness. A man with strong faith. Rest now in the Lord’s embrace. Cyril Bosco

Richard was a great bloke, a wonderful brother in law and a man of integrity. He had a wit that carried him through the toughest of times and a stoic sense of purpose that allowed him to smile during challenges he faced. His love of Pym, his parents and family I saw each and every time I saw or heard from him! It was an honour to have known him. RIP Richard we’ll miss you till we all are together- Craig

I'll always have great memories of our many adventures and travels, our friendship, fun times and lots of laughter. Our trips to Bali, travelling through Europe, Vietnam and so much more. Your one and a half serves of spaghetti. You'll always be in my heart and thoughts. I'll miss you but I know that you are now dancing with "sos". Luv you. V

So many fond memories. I will always remember the way you calmly diffused that potentially volatile situation during the cyclone in Fiji, using your real estate negotiation skills to great effect. And how can I ever forget the look on that Italian waiter’s face at Southbank in Melbourne when you asked for a one and half times serve of spaghetti! You loved life, family and the Rabbitoh’s so much. Now rest in peace dear friend, our love to Pym.

Richard and I have been friends since our teenage years, and during this time we have shared many happy memories - from singing in our CYO Youth Group (where we won the Cardinal's Trophy), to camping holidays, cruises and overseas trips. Our children always accompanied us on our holidays and he did his best to make sure they enjoyed them. I remember, on our first cruise on the Belorussia, the seas were very rough and many passengers did not venture too far away from their cabins. On the last night there was a kids' disco. We weren't too keen to go, but Richard took the girls up for their farewell party. The ship was rolling from side to side and everything was sliding off the tables. Needless to say, Rich ended up wearing Coca Cola down the front of his white slacks. But that didn't matter, as long as his "sos" and my girls had fun. That was our Richard. Nothing was more important than the love for his family and his friends. However, running close was his love of food. He would always have one and a half servings of spaghetti in Bali, as their servings were not as big as he'd like. He enjoyed life and we all enjoyed being a part of it. You will be missed by us all Rich. Now you can dance with your darling Leanne. Rest in peace, maate.

I will always remember with fondness the lots of fun and laughter we shared, your work ethic influenced all of us who had the pleasure of sharing our work days with you. Dear Richard how lucky were we to be in and surrounded by such loving parents and family. So.many memories, usually of you pushing the boundaries. How naughty you could be as a child, and as your older sister I had to hang on tight for the ride.
You have faced life's disappointments with the same strength and bravery. You were and always will be my first playmate. Love always Richie until we meet again.
Your big sister Ed xo

My wonderful brother Richard. I have so many great memories of you growing up in our family. Some of the most special ones were all the birthday celebrations we had together, sitting around the dining room table, sharing Mum’s amazing food and listening to Dad’s stories. Our fun filled summer holidays away at The Entrance and weekend outings with family and friends were special. We loved the Christmas and New Year celebrations at our house. I looked forward to discussing Souths’ victories and losses with you after their games. You could always make me laugh even when you were jokingly teasing me. I will always remember your smile and positive outlook no matter the challenges that you faced. I will love you forever with my whole heart. Your sister Louise xxxxxx

My memories of Richard are difficult to sum up in a few short words, but I will try. My Uncle Richard was a man who hugged too tight and laughed too hard. I considered him as my second Dad in support and love and guidance. Watching the unconditional love he gave to my Aunty Pym and Leanne, and in hindsight of my life lived to date, he is an example of the type of man I would want to spend the rest of my life with. Uncle Richard, I love you ... Forever missed and never forgotten.
