To Dan, Josie, and all the Wards round the lane and further afield, Just a wee note to say how saddened I am for your loss. No one knows what lies behind a smile, even the biggest of them. I hope you find comfort in everyone’s tributes to Peter and the man he was. May he rest in peace.

You were the most regular male parent to Cambewarra public School. Whenever your girls needed anything you were there. Always with a smile. Never frustrated, even when it turned out they had cried wolf. it was so obvious you adored Aimee and Jess your gorgeous girls.
A few years later I got to meet you socially and what a crack up you were. Such a good energy. Soon after you moved away to a great job as stud manager. Life seemed to be going great for you. It made me happy to see. But all is not always what it seems. I hope you have found peace but I have to say what a waste of a good human. I wish you would have believed that life gets better after tough times. I wish you had seen the glimmer of hope and stayed to reap the joy you deserved ……. RIP Pete.
Julia xx

Can't believe I'm writing this Peter, It all began at 110 Larne Road were our horsey lives began. You were always up to mischief from poor Angel and her cat phobia to wee Mrs Neil who used to hide the tv controls when Neighbours was on so you being Peter decided to repay her with a knock at the back door from the above bathroom followed by a basin of water and the list goes on and on and on .... you really didn't know what to be up too. We will never forget all the great times.
You told me when dad passed that you'd never forget the smile that lite up his face when you'd walk in and surprise him with a visit and mum with her quick defrosted apple tart.
I hope that at those big gates he meets you with that smile that lights up your smile we all remember and mum manages a fresh not frozen apple tart. We will miss you always Peter
Love John & Jayne xx
PS. Watch out for a basin of water!

Pete, you were the most perfect neighbour to the crew from the city trying to muddle their way through managing a property. You were so generous to help us out whenever we needed it. You taught us so much, and always knew what was best. At times we couldn't understand what the hell you were talking about with your accent but we just said "yep ok, no worries Pete!", as we knew you had our best interests at heart. We miss those times and we have some great memories. You will be missed. All our love to Jessica, Aimee and all your family and friends. Paul, Suzie, Oscar, Nicola and Sophia Jarman xoxo

To Jess and Aimee together today with extended family and friends, please accept our most sincere condolences for the passing of Dad (Pete). His Service will be a day of a mix of sadness and happiness remembering all those good times. Even though we have moved on from Cambewarra I always looked forward to our chats not that I always understood what he was saying. Dad was always the first to put up his hand if I needed some heavy lifting around the house, we couldn’t ask for better neighbours, and that definitely included you girls, watching you both blossom into beautiful young women, dad was so proud. A highlight for us was a visit to Mudgee and Goree Park, Pete was so happy, other than his girls, his next love was horses, he was such a natural and made hard tasks look so easy. We will miss you my good friend and neighbour, your work here is done, may you Rest In Peace. Mark and Di Barber
