I was so sad to read this news only today.
I met Linda many years ago as we both walked our Dogs in the same park. She never let her hearing loss slow her down. She was an avid fundraiser for Hearing Dogs, dragging many of her friends into early morning (or wet) fundraising activities!
We supported each other as our parents and dogs followed a similar path through old age.
She was devoted to and so proud of her daughter Nicola, and her dream was to move to Australia, which I am so glad she realised.
My condolences to the family, with much love,
Tracy, Greg and Denis the Puppy xxx

I am so sorry that Linda has been taken so suddenly. All of us in Wales are so saddened. Linda was a wonderful, witty, caring person who had a huge space in our family and will be sorely missed. I will continue to look after her car (she called it Jolly Find Vehicle. I call it Balinda), fridge and all the other knock knacks and appliances I inherited when she moved to Australia. I am so pleased that Linda got to finally live her dream. Love and thoughts to all Linda's family and friends xxx

So very sorry to have lost such a dear friend who was such an inspiration but most of all great fun and very brave, facing new challenges that many without a hearing loss might have thought twice about. Feisty, generous and loving and so very proud of Nicola and besotted with first Guinness and then his successor, Aslan, her constant furry companions - both very lucky dogs to have found a home with Linda who would have denied it but was such a softie under her practical exterior. Life really will be duller without having Linda in it, even if she had deserted us for the other side of the world! So unfair that her adventure has been cut short.
