Well here goes. Aunty Kay, Darren,Wayne and Sherone. I am feeling the pain and sorrow of loosing firstly a husband, souls mate, rock and best friend. Secondly a father and also a mentor. I just want to tell people a funny story on how I first met Aunty Kay and Uncle Bevan. I feel fortunate enough to spend a lot of my child hood in the Hardy house. Like a second family as a kid. We lived in Bomaderry next to each other. We lived in Ritchie Street and they lived on Sampson Cresecent. Anyhow Darren and I became really good friends. I called him Boy as we both were named Darren and you couldn't have two people named that. Uncle Bevan had just bought a brand new car. Parked it in the driveway and admired it and went in side. Unbeknown to him and Aunty Kay both Darren and I decided that we would play in the new car. We'll one of us decided to take the park brake off and you can guess what happened next. Yep it rolled back down the driveway with the door open and heading for the embankment and park across the road. Next thing faster than a speeding bullet Uncle Bevan was in the passenger seat. He saved the Valiant. A Valiant of all cars. Guys I wish I could be there for you as I know these times are hard. I am pretty certain Uncle Bevan would be looking down and thinking what's all the fuss cause thays the man he was.He leaves behind a wonderful family, friends and relatives but the most important thing is he will never be forgotten and neither will his legacy.RIP Uncle Bevan. Congratulations to Kay and family, I’m absolutely gutted to hear of your loss of Bevan , he will be sorely missed by so many people in our community and I for one will miss him so very much, always a hard worker who enjoyed everything he did with no fuss or bother, a quiet spocken man who show no bitterness towards others and always have 100 0/0 in everything he did, the scouting movement the lions club of Bomaderry and the miniature railway where just a few organisations I new bevan was associated with and I know personally he gave everything he could to help them survive, go ride your trains in peace my friend we will always remember your love and support, R.I.P. Bevan Hardy
