Dot was a beautiful person, both a friend and mentor to me. She had a wicked sense of humour, and a wonderful way of making you feel comfortable with her. She had a very special ability to reach out to people. Dot helped me in many ways through my career. She was a strong support to many colleagues and students alike. Dot told me early in my career that I spoke well over the microphone. That gave me confidence to continue and speak whenever necessary. I have never forgotten that. Your family and friends are so proud of you always. Rest well Dot, dearest friend. Peace be with you always. My deepest sympathy to Laura, Sue and family. She always spoke so highly of you all. ❤
