One of my favourite people to meet. Such a treasure of a lady and such a beautiful energetic soul. I loved meeting Elaine. She reminded me of who we can be when we feel confident. We first met Elaine after she was introduced to us by Rev Malcolm MacLoud as our elder. Although she was our elder she became a family friend participating in a number of activities including celebrations. One of the last things she did was take part my husband James’s funeral 8 years ago. She was a wonderful person & we shared many beautiful moments with her x& Logan in Carlingford & Kangaroo Valley. RIP Elaine.

Sending you all our deepest sympathies. It's such a privilege to have shared so much with Mrs Apperley. Lots of memories filled with lots of love, laughter and great food. When we came to Australia Mrs A stepped in to attend Grandparent days so we never felt left out. There are memories that span from child - Open days at the Apperley's through to adulthood where she did a reading at our wedding through to meeting our son. So many conversations about so many things. I look back on all of them with such joy and know the impact they have had in making me who I am today. Thank you Mrs A! Rest peacefully. Linnae xo

My condolences to you all. I have nothing but fond memories of Mrs Apperley because of course I could never call her by her first name. From being my surrogate grandmother for grandparents day because mine were Overseas’s and could never make it, to being our elder in church and being a guide for my confirmation. Mrs A has always been a support to my family Thanks for everything Mrs A, It has been an honour . Sending much love and strength Charlene Rust Xx

Many wonderful memories of sharing wider family moments with Elaine. From being groomsman at her and Logan's wedding to pool and barbecue parties at Beecroft. She now rests in God's eternal care knowing in the words we read in Romans: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
