I was so shocked to hear of your passing Mick, I sat and wrote a list of my memories of you the other day to help me process... This is them...
Things I remember about Mick…
The time you and Liss were going to take me to see “Aladdin”, but you had already seen it so we went and saw “Super Mario Brothers” which I loved! !!
The time you and Liss took Me to see the wedding singer
How at my 13th birthday my friends were besotted with you, they thought you looked like Jonny Depp and they were madly in love with you…
The time you and Liss house sat for us when we were in Queensland and you guys had found a note pad of mine with “I love??” or “I <3 ??” (I can’t remember who the ?? was at the time) and you had written little Smart Alek poems in there one starting with “don’t tell ma but I told Pa…” or some such… I remember being ticked off at the time but quickly I forgot.
Talking about “Stuck in the middle with you” being in Reservoir dogs but me being too young to have seen the movie (this was at Kai’s naming ceremony)
Drawing an engagement card for you and Liss but spending your whole engagement party asleep on a lounge in Aunty Al’s spare room because I was sick.
Attending your wedding
The time you and Liss took Me, Daniel and Melanie to Australia’s wonderland
Spending an Easter drinking Tequila with you guys at Tombarra and you being attacked by a “Goat” which was actually Boris the Sheep.
You will be missed Mate

I havent known Mick for that long, but in the 2 years I have known him and his family, they have all been great people to know.
Mick would have done almost anything for anyone in need.
He would have given me the shirt off his back if it had of fitted.
He was always only a phone call away.
He and Jett used to drop in at my place on their way home from work and have a beer.
When I got the call that he had passed, my head went into a spin.
He will always be remembered as my mates dad, a larikin, who was always good for a laugh.
Gonna miss you Mick.
Fly high and rest easy mate.
You are at peace now.

Mick will always be remembered for the happy go lucky person he was. He was always there if you needed him. He was Paul’s best mate but I loved him too. You never knew what car he would have and it gave us such a laugh. On weekends away and holidays at Conjola you never knew what homemade item he would have and he never did use that surfboard. They say the good die young and it is true. Never forgotten xx
