Worked with Geoffrey at the Good Guys Nowra. He had a great sense of humour and was a pleasure to work with and was well respected by the customers for his great knowledge.
He was very sad about his wife's illness and I felt for him that he could not share fully his life with her in his retirement.
I am very sad to hear of his passing but am joyful that he is now reunited with his beloved Jan where they can be together in love for eternity.
Prayers and thoughts to all his family.

It is with sadness that we hear about the passing of Geoff. He has been a great friend since I first met him and Jan in the 1980's at Bowls and in the last few years we might not have seen him as much but we always asked after him from the Shoalhaven players coming to Sydney to play bowls.
Geoff was always up for some fun on the Farewell Nights at the Australian Championships and we all made the fun enjoyable for the other States at the Farewell Dinner.
On behalf of the New South Wales Indoor Bias Bowls Association we offer our condolences to the family.

In China:
So sad this morning to hear of Geoff’s death. Sometimes in your life you meet people with whom you just click. Geoff was one of those. A joy to work with. A pleasure to be with. He could tell a joke and laugh along with you. Always happy, and ready to take on any task. He had a great mind and could help you to solve logic problems like a professional. He understood the nature of service and the needs of our customers. He had a sense of fun that made ‘working’ a good time.
He would often say let's get things "Ship Shape and Bristol Fashion". Seemed to understand the benefit of tidiness just naturally.
When things got tough, we would go off and enjoy a cream bun and coffee. Geoff knew the importance of eating well and enjoying your food. There was always lively discussion along with the food, about life and times.
Geoff was devoted to his family, and withstood the rigors, the ups and downs, of being a father and husband with his characteristic class. He was a good and decent man, who did a lot in his life that was good for others.
He would be saying now ... "C'mon Birksie, let's get back to work!"
I was blessed to know him, privileged to stand in his shadow, made better by having spent time hearing his stories. And I will miss him a lot.
