We met you in 2004 whilst walking down Lackersteen Street you and Gae were out the front of your property and we stopped and had a chat. It was the start of a wonderful friendship, we have always considered you both family. Ernst’s intelligence, wit and loving, caring nature endeared him to our entire family. Our son Joel interviewed Ernst for an episode of his Podcast Off Track and was absolutely chuffed with how Ernst’s gregarious personality helped make the episode great! We love you very much Ernst and always will. Barbara and Paul.

So many fond adventurous memories Ernst of our time with you in Wakehurst Canoe Club, you kicked our butts when needed, created safety, laughed a lot in a mischievious manner, hardworking and meticulous as our trips convenor. Amazing toolmaker and business man! Above all a great family man, who loved his wife and children above all else. You were one of a kind and will be so missed. Much love, Steve, Leslee and family!
