Saddened to hear of Kev's passing after his long battle. He was a great bloke and one of the funniest guys to have served with on HMAS Perth DDG 38 . A lot of great memories.

To Bridget, Tim, Will, Lucas, Belle and the Shadforth family,
There are not enough prayers to say, words to share or stories to tell that would do Kev's time on this earth, and the love and friendship he gave, enough justice.
Kev was a true mate, someone who stood by you no matter what you faced, who laughed with you (and at you too, if need be) and cherished his family above all else. I am forever grateful for his kind heart, cheeky smile and our enduring friendship. He was one of kind and will be missed forever more.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers to you all today. Until we can celebrate Kev's life in person, know that he is held in all of our hearts with care.

To Bridget and Family, My Deepest Condolences on the loss of Kevin. His Passing has hit many of us hard. I have shared Navy Postings with Kev in H.M.A.S. Perth and Fleet Support Unit (S.E.). I have fond memories of him and an offsider either "saddling" up an imaginary Harley Davidson and riding it around the Boiler Room or mowing the lawn in same said boiler room. I also very clearly remember the day that you Kev, and the family came into Fleet Support Unit after we all thought that Kev had beaten this thing after his first bout of treatment. Rest in Peace Shipmate, your watch is done. "Fair Winds and Following Seas"

I only knew Kev for a short time, but it was such a great time. I feel so grateful to have been able to work side by side with Kev and develop an amazing friendship with such a kind hearted person who always had time for others.
Working with Kev was such a fun filled experience, he would never take anything to serious and would always make you laugh no matter how boring the job we had to do was or how dry the topic of conversation was.
You have left a massive mark in this world Kev. I will cherish our time together forever.
The Pen you made and gave me as a gift will sit high in my house for the rest of my life.

To this day I still remember joining the Navy with Kev. We were snotty nosed teen agers that came together from all over the country. We could never have imagined where our paths would of taken us. The bonds we made at Nirimba were not like anything we ever had. Even we don't speak often, we will always be there if ever in need. I am so thankful to have met Kev. He was definitely one of a kind. Memories I will never forget. Rest easy dear friend your watch is done.
