My sincere condolences to Shana's family. Shana was a a wonderful person and an amazing HOD who guided me as a new teacher and for many years after this at Vincentia High. She showed passion not only for her teaching areas but for her students. Shana was a colleague, a friend and mentor that guided me. She made a true difference in the lives that she touched. She will be missed by many. Mary-Anne Tebbit.

Along with Ken, Shana was an active and highly valued member of the Hurlstone Agricultural High School parent community during my time as Principal. The southern parent group, of which they both were members, was a particularly strong and positive contributor to policy and facility developments at the school and Shana and Ken were very active in these areas. Shana maintained the strong relationship she developed with her many parent friends after Bree and Jessica left the school.
By their positive and active involvement in school community events Shana and Ken contributed greatly to the development and promotion of the “Hurlstone Family” concept. I particularly appreciated Shana’s vitality, bright presence, sense of humour and willingness to say what she really felt when it mattered.
I often said that the marvellous qualities of the general Hurlstone student were, to a large extent, the result of the influence of their wonderful parents and Bree and Jessica are excellent examples of this; they are two outstanding people who undoubtedly made Shana and Ken extremely proud and I particularly pay tribute to Shana and Ken in this regard.
I extend my deepest sympathy to Ken, Bree, Jessica and their families at this extremely difficult and distressing time.
Michael Kidd.

Mrs Corbett was a teacher like no other. I was taught by Mrs Corbett throughout my entire time at Vincentia high School. In my senior years I was told by Mrs Corbett for two subjects and her passion and her amazing ability to make subjects interesting always stay with me.
Mrs Corbett taught Aboriginal studies for which there was no textbook for and I was constantly engaged with this subject purely so the passion and engagement that Mrs Corbett was able to produce.
My condolences to the family. Your mother and wife was the most amazing teacher that I had ever had in my whole primary school high school and university courses!
Everybody that was taught by you I will forever remember you you're amazing knowledge passion perseverance and most importantly your sense of humour.
May you rest in peace and watch over all that you care for.
