My dear Lindy, Ros, and Cam,
I just joined you via live stream in honoring Mum's life. You made her proud. She was a dear, sweet Mum. Her smile, her laugh, her wisdom, her love of family and friends lives on through you and yours. She had a grace about life that is a lesson to us all; May we all strive to live up to Mum's "Dash" in life. I was privileged to know her, be accepted by her and be her Yankee daughter. I too leave my rose petal and share a moment of love, gratitude and respect.
With Love, Becky
I

Watched this moving ceremony from Ayvalik, Turkey on the Northern Aegean and shed a tear. RIP Aunty Dawn.
Memories, an early one I have is when the parents got together for a dinner and we, the kids had to withdraw from all the fun early & go to sleep in the car outside in the driveway. sometimes however, we got to sleep in Aunty Dawn’s bed. I liked that.

Oh Ingrid, so glad you were able to join us with the livestream. What beautiful memories of our childhood! I don’t remember sleeping in the car, but so do remember sleepovers at your place and a camp out in the backyard! How lucky we we to have such a great time as children with our Moorhouse cousins! Xx

I remember the first time that i met nanna, it was just after lara and I last performance (i think it was last aha) in a musical we did for the school, after the musical was over i went with lara and her family to take nanna home, that night was a very special night to me because it was the first time i got to meet nanna. After that night i saw nanna many more times afterwards and she told me i was like another great grandchild because i am an “adopted” part of the family. I think one of my favourite memories with nanna would have to be at Libby’s birthday, where we all went to the growers and i sat with nanna as well did lara and we were talking and then lara told nanna how i don’t wear my glasses and nanna told me to put her glasses on, which i did and couldn’t see through them, she then proceeded to tell me that i have to start wearing mine otherwise i’ll have eyes like hers when i’m her age, unfortunately i still do not wear my glasses which i know for a fact nanna would not be happy about but that is okay because i would have that exact same conversation with her all over again if i could. Nanna you will be dearly missed, you are dearly loved by all of your family, rest peacefully and i hope your now with your beloved husband, watching over your beautiful family. ❤️

Sixty nine years ago, when I was only two, my Aunty Dawn and Uncle Lionel (only recently married at that time) had me stay with them for a week or so in their original home in North Bomaderry. The tremendous bond of love that was established between Dawn and me all that time ago has never stopped growing in all the years that have passed since then, and will continue to remain as strong as ever - Brian
Dawn: always smiling, affectionate and sincere. There is much for us all to model ourselves on – thank you for being you: always a warm spot in my heart - Lynda
To Lindy and Geoff, Rossie and Chris, Cam and Donna and all your lovely children and grandchildren, you have lost such a beautiful, warm, understanding, devoted and loving woman in Dawn. She was such a special person who gave her everything and never expected anything in return, but your whole family has paid her back with bucketfuls of love and adoration. We both offer you our truly heartfelt condolences, as do Tim and Alex and Hayley and David.

Dear Ros, James, Meggie and family,
Nanna Dawn brought warmth and kindness to every conversation - she always knew the loveliest things to say. I remember after my own nanna passed away that Dawn would often remind me of something I'd once told her when I was a child: "you smile at me in just the same way my nanna does". It made me feel loved and that I still had a nanna to smile to me when I needed. I will miss her very much.
Lots of love, all the way from Amsterdam,
<3 Rebecca
