My first memory of Chicka is from our first Christmas party after we moved over from England. The four Johnson kids, huddled together, watching everyone splashing in the pool, laughing and smiling at us strangers. I remember how nervous and self conscious we felt as we were being shuffled around to meet the family we didn't know. The bunch of smiling, tanned family with funny accents who greeted us with big smiles and hugs. I still remember that first time I saw Chicka's big cheeky grin and sparkling eyes. And that's how he's always been to me.
It may be my first memory of Chicka, but it's also my first memory of most of the Corrs.
I loved chatting to him and though I don't know him as well as the majority of you, not in the slightest, he still made an impact on me.
Whilst our lives and, yes, those family gatherings, will be that much less for his lack of attendance, it will be made up of memories and all the things he gave to us in his life. Laughter, camaraderie and joy, to name a few.
Rest peacefully, though we all know you'll be causing a ruckus up there with the rest of those much loved family members and friends who have loved, been loved and left for the next big adventure.
Much love and happy thoughts to you all who have lost such a special person in their lives.
