Glenn & I met Dan late 60’ early 70’s
Glenn and Dan were great mates within a large group of friends. With Surfing music and many of the same interests and values they formed an unbreakable bond. I met Kerry and Danny in 1970. Kerry and I became friends and a year later I met Glenn who it turned out also knew Kerry and Danny.
So began a life time of happy memories from our youth, our Weddings to children and even more fun times as the years went by. Dan was always there with an amazing gift of making us all so happy. The life of a party, his personality and gift for cracking a joke would bring us to tears of laughter on so many occasions. We had the joy of seeing Dan become and Dad. His love for Craig and Meagan and their children was evident he was always so proud of them.
When we moved to different areas distance would never be a problem. “The way to a friend is never far” was our favourite saying. We found our way South on many occasions when they moved to Sussex and later Nowra. When we moved to Port Macquarie The Quinnies made their way here on many visits.
Having Danny as our special friend over 5 decades has been an honour. We’ve shared so much love for Dan it is hard to believe our dear friend has passed and we hope he is at peace. Wherever he may be now we know for sure he’ll be making others laugh.
There were so many great memories we shared that he’ll be forever in our hearts
