Barry (aka Brother, Bazza) Harper was a good and decent man who, over many years, lived and left life on his own terms. He made a huge difference to his family and the Shoalhaven Community. Barry overcame adversity in his early life to become a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and extraordinarily generous with his time to those who were friends. Barry gave of his own time with a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm by generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations and sponsorship for the benefit of swimming and various charities in the Shoalhaven region. Along with many others in the sporting community Barry's contribution allowed many children the opportunity to learn to swim and also compete from district to international levels.
When the situation allows the family looks forward to celebrating Barry's life with the extended family and his many friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughters Kim, Kylie and Megan, his grandchildren, Alex, Jordyn, Briannah, Jaxon (dec), Beau, Charley, Bianca, Halle and Freya and his sisters Shirley and Kay. Barry was, over many years, a very generous uncle and great-uncle to many.
