Dear Uncle Rick, you were such a gentle soul with a beautiful smile. I remember working at the garage and I still make sure I put petrol in my tank to the exact cent just like you taught me.
You will be with Nan and Grandad again now and of course Brocky.
Love Kristine, Brett and all your nephews and great nephews in Dubbo. XXX

Rick, it was pleasure to have known you, one of Nature’s true gentle men.We had such great times at Kinka. You and Jim were always first at Happy Hour and often last to leave. Lots of laughs and lots of fun.
Sincere condolences to Val and the family.
Sorry we can’t be there to say goodbye in person.
Jim and Wendy.

We have had the pleasure of knowing Rick for many years. From the days of going to Lithgow Tech together back in the 50's to the many enjoyable times and Christmas dinners we had together at Greg and Sandra home. It was a honour having Rick as a friend.
Thinking of you Rick, Val and family, Rest in peace dear friend.
Alan & Lorraine.

Thank you for the wonderful times we had together during our long association. We always had great times covering a host of activities including the car club, car races, fishing, motor bikes and, of course, partying which always included a drink or two. It was a privilege to call you a close friend.
Your good mate,
George.

Dearest Rick,
Sorry I can not be there today to farewell you, so I will light a red candle in you honour.
If I had to describe you in one word, I would choose, gentleman. You were a gentle man, with a cheeky smile and a sneaky wink of the eye.
I struggle with words and feelings, but I loved that I could just sit with you with no words exchanged. We were so comfortable in each other's silence.
You have a beautiful family, which I am now honoured to be a part of.
You were so dignified in the end stages of your life. Rest in peace.
Love Always,
Sandy

Amid some of the many happy memories I have of Rick are those times of him cooking the "Catch of the Day" on his bbq in the garage, football Grand Final weekends in Sydney and Country Music Festivals in Tamworth. Many wonderful memories of a true gentleman.
