Kevin was three years older than me. Our birthdays were on the same day, the 8 July. I am thankful to have shared 80 birthdays with my brother. As a child, Kevin was my friend and protector. He was always there for me. He meant the world to me. Kevin was my best friend and I will miss him very much. Kevin and Maree were always there for my family and were interested in what was happening in all our lives. Each week, Kevin and I enjoyed long chats together on the phone, something I always looked forward to. Kevin was a loving, caring and supportive brother. He loved his family very much and spoke about them with pride. He told me recently that Maree was the best wife in the world and how blessed and grateful he was to have her as his wife. I will treasure his last precious words to me when he said, "I love you."
